We bring biotechnology to material recovery
AKIN is a rubber recovery company, founded in 2023 by Ieva Palubeckaitė and Halithan Çetin. Kinfinity Imaging maps rubber formulations at the molecular level and runs as a paid service today. Kinfinity Recovery, the enzymatic route, is at bench scale.
By bringing molecular imaging, biotechnology and engineering together, AKIN is building the analytical and biological foundation for materials that can be recovered rather than downcycled, starting with end-of-life tyres.

Our laboratory and team are at Biotech Campus Delft, hosted by Planet B.io, between Leiden’s life sciences community and Delft’s chemistry, materials and engineering. The campus builds on 150 years of academic research and industrial biotechnology on this site, and supports the whole cycle from research and pilot to production.
